Travel Med/Surg Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) – 13-Week Contract in Medford, Oregon

Travel Nursing Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,850–$1,950
• Location: Medford, Oregon
• Employment Type: Travel nursing contract
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Contract Dates: November 23, 2026–February 22, 2027
• Hours: 36 hours per week
• Shift: 12-hour night shifts, 7:00 p.m.–7:00 a.m.
• Schedule: Three shifts per week; every other weekend required
• Patient Ratio: Approximately 1:4
• Healthcare Setting: Medical-surgical telemetry unit serving adult and geriatric patients

Medical-Surgical Telemetry RN Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license eligible for practice in Oregon; compact license must be in hand at submission when applicable
• At least 1 year of recent medical-surgical telemetry nursing experience; 2 years preferred
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Demonstrated ability to interpret and manage dysrhythmias and care for telemetry patients
• Experience caring for adult and geriatric patients with complex medical conditions
• Flexibility to float between units or nearby affiliated facilities based on patient-care needs
• Ability to participate in required weekend coverage and scheduled holiday coverage

Travel RN Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in a medical-surgical telemetry setting.
• Monitor cardiac rhythms, recognize changes in patient condition, and initiate appropriate interventions.
• Care for patients with diagnoses including STEMI, NSTEMI, stroke, renal disease, COPD, substance-withdrawal conditions, and other complex medical needs.
• Administer medications, complete assessments, coordinate care, and document accurately in the electronic medical record.
• Collaborate with physicians and an interdisciplinary care team to support safe, efficient patient outcomes.
• Float between units as needed to support staffing and patient-care requirements.
• Participate in an inclusive, supportive team culture and contribute to a positive patient experience.
• Provide on-call coverage when assigned based on census and operational needs.
