Travel Radiologic Technologist Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,600–$2,790
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Start Date: October 19, 2026
• End Date: January 18, 2027
• Openings: 2
• Schedule: 4 shifts per week; 10-hour day shifts, generally 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
• Alternative Schedule: 5x8-hour shifts may be available
• Call Coverage: Approximately 1–2 nights per week and every third weekend
• Healthcare Setting: On-site cath lab and cardiovascular interventional radiography
• Patient Population: Adult and geriatric patients
• Location: Morehead, Kentucky

Radiologic Technologist Job Requirements

• At least 1 year of relevant radiologic technology, interventional radiology, or cath lab experience required; 2 years preferred
• ARRT certification as a Radiologic Technologist required
• ARRT certification in Cardiovascular Interventional Radiography required
• Active Kentucky Radiation Operator License required; candidates with a pending Kentucky license may be considered
• Current ACLS certification required
• Ability to provide copies of required certifications and professional credentials
• Previous charge or management experience preferred
• Strong commitment to radiation safety, quality patient care, sterile technique, and teamwork

Travel Radiologic Technologist Responsibilities

• Perform radiographic and fluoroscopic imaging in the cath lab and cardiovascular interventional radiography setting
• Prepare, position, and safely monitor adult and geriatric patients before, during, and after procedures
• Assist physicians and the interventional cardiovascular team while maintaining sterile technique and radiation safety standards
• Operate, assess, and troubleshoot imaging equipment to produce accurate, high-quality diagnostic images
• Verify patient information, procedure orders, and required clinical documentation
• Communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, technologists, and other members of the interdisciplinary healthcare team
• Participate in scheduled night and weekend call coverage
• Support efficient procedure room turnover and maintain a safe, organized procedural environment
