Occupational Therapy Job Details

• Location: Annapolis, Maryland, with coverage primarily in Prince George’s County and select areas of Anne Arundel County
• Healthcare Setting: Home health
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,920–$2,060
• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m.
• Shift Duration: 8-hour shifts
• Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
• Contract Length: Approximately 13 weeks
• Start Date: October 4, 2026
• End Date: January 1, 2027
• Weekend and On-Call Requirement: None
• Travel: Mileage reimbursement is provided between patient visits

Home Health Occupational Therapist Requirements

• At least 1 year of occupational therapy experience, preferably in home health or medical-surgical care
• Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
• Current Maryland Occupational Therapist license and authorization to practice in the state
• Professional certification as required for occupational therapy practice
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, organization, and time-management skills
• Ability to travel between patient homes and provide safe, effective care in an independent setting
• Homecare Homebase experience is preferred

Occupational Therapist Responsibilities

• Evaluate medical-surgical patients in the home health setting and develop individualized occupational therapy treatment plans
• Provide occupational therapy treatments designed to improve functional mobility, activities of daily living (ADLs), safety, and independence
• Monitor patient progress, adjust interventions as needed, and document care accurately and in a timely manner
• Collaborate with patients, caregivers, and members of the interdisciplinary care team to support positive outcomes
• Educate patients and caregivers on therapeutic techniques, home safety, adaptive strategies, and equipment use
• Manage a daily schedule across assigned coverage areas while meeting productivity expectations of approximately 30 points
• Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care while maintaining professional and regulatory standards
