Travel Radiology Job Details

• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,310–$2,480
• Location: Sacramento, California
• Healthcare Setting: Hospital-based Interventional Radiology
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Start Date: November 23, 2026
• Schedule: Four shifts per week
• Shift: 10-hour day shifts, approximately 7:00 a.m.–5:30 p.m.
• Call: Varied weeknight and weekend call coverage, with rotating weekends
• Work Arrangement: On-site

Interventional Radiology Technologist Requirements

• At least 2 years of recent relevant radiologic technology experience required; 3–5 years preferred
• ARRT certification
• Current CRT and fluoroscopy qualifications
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Experience with diagnostic and interventional radiology procedures preferred
• Ability to work scheduled call shifts and rotating weekends
• Strong communication, patient education, and teamwork skills

Interventional Radiology Technologist Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of diagnostic and interventional radiology examinations, including imaging support for hybrid procedures
• Operate complex stationary and mobile diagnostic imaging equipment safely and effectively
• Prepare for and assist physicians with diagnostic imaging and image guidance during invasive procedures
• Complete routine and priority assignments within established departmental time frames
• Explain procedures, medications, contrast media, and potential biological effects to patients in a clear and professional manner
• Help reduce patient anxiety by providing compassionate education and support throughout procedures
• Maintain a high standard of patient safety, image quality, and professional practice
