CT Technologist Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,240–$2,400
• Location: Virginia Beach, Virginia
• Healthcare Setting: Hospital Radiology / CT Scan
• Assignment Type: Travel radiology contract
• Contract Dates: November 30, 2026 through March 23, 2027
• Schedule: Three 12-hour day shifts per week, Friday through Sunday
• Shift Duration: 12 hours
• Weekly Hours: 36 hours
• Shift Hours: 6:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
• On-Call Requirement: Overnight call approximately once every four weeks
• Additional Scheduling: Holiday coverage is expected

CT Technologist Job Requirements

• At least 2 years of professional CT Technologist or Computed Tomography Technologist experience
• Active Virginia Radiologic Technologist license
• ARRT certification in Radiography and Computed Tomography: ARRT(R)(CT)
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Demonstrated proficiency performing diagnostic and interventional CT examinations
• Experience operating GE and Siemens CT scanners
• Required experience using Epic and PACS
• Current influenza vaccination
• At least two current professional references
• Internationally educated professionals must meet applicable credential evaluation requirements

CT Technologist Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic and interventional CT examinations according to established protocols and radiation safety standards
• Prepare and position patients, explain procedures, and promote patient comfort and cooperation
• Operate GE and Siemens CT imaging platforms effectively
• Review imaging orders, patient histories, and clinical indications to support accurate CT workflows
• Apply radiation protection practices and maintain quality standards throughout each examination
• Document procedures and patient information accurately in Epic and PACS
• Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, physicians, and other members of the healthcare team
• Participate in scheduled overnight call and holiday coverage as required
