Travel Surgical Technologist Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,760–$1,890
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Start Date: November 16, 2026
• End Date: February 13, 2027
• Shift: 8-hour day shifts, starting around 6:00 AM and ending approximately 3:30–4:00 PM
• Guaranteed Hours: 72 hours biweekly
• Schedule: No weekends, holidays, or call required
• Orientation: 8 hours
• Work Setting: On-site operating room with two OR suites and approximately 5–20 cases per week
• Charting System: Epic experience preferred
• Location: Stanley, Wisconsin

Operating Room Technician Job Requirements

• At least 2 years of operating room or perioperative experience
• High school diploma required
• Completion of a surgical technology or scrub technician program preferred
• Current AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential preferred but not required
• Experience with general surgery, gynecology, urology, gastrointestinal, and orthopedic procedures
• Ability to adapt to changing assignments and float to nearby surgical locations when needed
• Strong work ethic, resilience, flexibility, and effective communication skills

Surgical Technologist Responsibilities

• Prepare operating rooms, surgical supplies, instruments, and equipment for scheduled procedures
• Serve as a surgical technologist, operating room technician, and scrub tech during operative procedures
• Maintain sterile technique and anticipate the needs of the surgeon and surgical team
• Support procedures across general surgery, gynecology, urology, gastrointestinal, and orthopedic specialties
• Complete instrument, sponge, and supply counts according to established operating room safety standards
• Assist with room turnover, post-procedure cleanup, and readiness for subsequent cases
• Perform downtime tasks and other perioperative support duties as needed
• Collaborate with nurses, providers, and other perioperative team members to promote safe, efficient patient care
