Join a fast-paced acute-care operating room team as a Travel Surgical Technologist in Bridgeport, WV. This 13-week travel healthcare contract offers skilled OR Tech professionals the opportunity to support a Level II trauma operating room program, diverse surgical cases, and advanced technology, including the da Vinci robotic surgical system. The department manages approximately 65 cases per day across multiple specialties.

Travel Surgical Technologist Job Details

• Location: Bridgeport, West Virginia—a welcoming community in the scenic Appalachian region with convenient access to outdoor recreation, cultural attractions, and nearby cities.
• Assignment Type: 13-week travel contract
• Start Date: November 23, 2026
• End Date: February 22, 2027
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,520–$1,640
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Schedule: Three 12-hour day shifts per week
• Shift Duration: 12-hour shifts
• Healthcare Setting: Acute care, Level II trauma operating room
• Department: 11-room surgical department, including operating rooms and endoscopy suites
• Documentation System: EPIC

Operating Room Surgical Technologist Requirements

• At least 1 year of recent operating room Surgical Technologist or Surgical Tech experience
• Current Surgical Technologist certification
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
• Demonstrated experience with da Vinci robotic surgery is required
• Experience supporting a broad range of surgical specialties is preferred
• Ability to maintain professional operating room attire and safety standards, including compliance with sterile-area policies

Travel OR Tech Responsibilities

• Prepare operating rooms, surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies for scheduled procedures.
• Assist the surgical team throughout procedures while maintaining a sterile field and anticipating procedural needs.
• Support cases across vascular, general, orthopedic, neurological, ophthalmic, ENT, and endoscopic specialties.
• Provide skilled support for robotic procedures using the da Vinci surgical system.
• Perform instrument counts, specimen handling, room turnover, and post-procedure equipment management.
• Follow infection prevention, patient safety, and operating room policies in a high-volume environment.
• Collaborate effectively with surgeons, nurses, anesthesia professionals, and other members of the perioperative team.
