Medical-Surgical RN Job Requirements

Medical-Surgical Travel Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult medical-surgical patients throughout the shift
• Assess patient conditions, develop and implement individualized care plans, and evaluate outcomes
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately according to established protocols
• Monitor vital signs, recognize changes in patient status, and promptly escalate concerns
• Collaborate with providers and the interdisciplinary care team to support positive patient outcomes
• Educate patients and families regarding care plans, medications, recovery, and discharge needs
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation while following hospital policies and patient-safety standards
