Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) Travel Contract – Apple Valley, CA

Seeking an experienced Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN) for a 13-week travel nursing contract in Apple Valley, California. Join an emergency care team and provide high-quality care in a fast-paced acute care setting serving patients across the lifespan.

Travel Nursing Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,260–$2,380
• Location: Apple Valley, California
• Assignment Type: 13-week travel nurse contract
• Start Date: November 17, 2026
• Schedule: 3 shifts per week
• Shift: 12-hour night shifts, approximately 7:00 p.m. – 7:30 a.m.
• Weekly Hours: 36 hours
• Patient Ratios: Approximately 1:4
• Charting System: Epic
• Weekend Coverage: Every other weekend, with additional weekend coverage possible based on unit needs
• Call: Not required

Emergency Room RN Job Requirements

• At least 1 year of recent Emergency Room or Emergency Department RN experience
• Active California RN license or compact RN license in hand
• Current ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and PALS certifications
• Recent experience with Epic electronic health record charting
• Ability to care for neonates, infants, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients
• Emergency department experience in a community hospital setting preferred
• Ability to work three of five designated major holidays during the assignment
• Strong triage, prioritization, patient assessment, and emergency response skills

Emergency Department RN Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive emergency nursing care for patients with varied and complex diagnoses
• Perform rapid patient assessments, triage, reassessments, and timely escalation of changes in condition
• Manage patients requiring cardiac monitoring, procedural sedation, ventilatory support, IV medications, and emergency interventions
• Care for stroke and STEMI patients in a receiving emergency department
• Administer medications, blood products, and IV therapies safely and accurately
• Interpret dysrhythmias and arterial blood gases and manage patients with critical care needs
• Provide care for trauma, neurological, orthopedic, cardiac, respiratory, and medical emergencies
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapy, pharmacy, radiology, social services, and rapid response teams
• Document patient care accurately in Epic and support safe transitions of care
• Maintain a calm, compassionate, and patient-centered approach in a high-volume emergency setting
