Travel Nursing Job Details

• Position: Intensive Care Unit Registered Nurse (ICU RN)
• Location: Elmira, New York
• Assignment Type: Travel nursing contract
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,250–$2,370
• Start Date: November 8, 2026
• Assignment End Date: February 6, 2027
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Hours: 36 hours per week
• Shift: 12-hour night shifts, 7:00 p.m.–7:30 a.m.
• Unit: 20-bed mixed ICU
• Clinical Technology: EPIC electronic medical record, Spectrum IV pumps, NxStage CRRT, and Spacelab bedside monitors

ICU Registered Nurse Job Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse license eligible for practice in New York; state license verification required
• At least 1 year of recent ICU or critical care nursing experience
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts and fulfill a 36-hour weekly schedule
• Strong patient assessment, prioritization, clinical judgment, and critical-thinking skills
• Experience with electronic documentation systems; familiarity with critical care equipment preferred
• Ability to complete required competency, pharmacology, rhythm interpretation, and electronic medical record assessments
• Current professional resume and professional references

ICU RN Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, evidence-based nursing care to critically ill patients in a mixed intensive care setting
• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments, monitor hemodynamic and clinical status, and promptly identify changes in patient condition
• Administer medications and therapies safely, including titratable infusions and other critical care interventions within scope of practice
• Operate and monitor ICU equipment, including IV pumps, bedside monitors, and CRRT systems as trained and assigned
• Document assessments, interventions, responses to treatment, and care plans accurately in EPIC
• Collaborate with providers and the interdisciplinary care team to coordinate individualized treatment plans
• Provide clear shift reports, patient education, and support to patients and their families
• Promote patient safety, infection prevention, and compliance with professional nursing standards
