Job description

Job Description:

This 8-week travel assignment is designed for an experienced Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse supporting a high-risk, high-volume unit in Seattle. You will care for patients through labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum transitions while managing complex cases involving magnesium sulfate, insulin, heparin, and other high-acuity needs. The role includes circulating in four operating rooms, serving as the baby nurse during deliveries, and providing newborn care such as assessments, eye care, vitamin K injections, and transfer preparation. You will also float to postpartum and antepartum areas or nearby mother-and-baby facilities as needed. Experience with high-risk obstetrics, electronic fetal monitoring, Epic, and newborn care is essential. Expect a fast-paced assignment with every-other-weekend and holiday coverage as needed—night-shift nursing with plenty of meaningful moments.
