Job Description:
This 13-week travel contract is for a Registered Nurse providing care on an inpatient med-surg intermediate care unit. The role involves managing higher-acuity patients with heavy telemetry needs, including ventilator and tracheostomy weaning, sepsis, trauma, gastrointestinal bleeding, chest tubes, traumatic brain injuries, orthopedic trauma, spinal cord injuries, and stroke. Nurses should be prepared to float to other inpatient units, typically higher-acuity areas, as needed. The schedule consists of overnight 12-hour shifts, with every other weekend and holiday coverage. This assignment is suited to an experienced traveler with stepdown, intermediate care, or PCU experience and ventilator or tracheostomy experience.
