Travel RN Job Details

• Location: Placentia, California
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,000–$2,100
• Assignment Type: 13-week travel nursing contract
• Start Date: November 30, 2026
• End Date: March 1, 2027
• Schedule: 3 shifts per week, 36 hours per week
• Shift Duration: 12-hour day shifts, approximately 7:00 a.m.–7:30 p.m.
• Primary Shift Days: Monday through Friday
• Patient Population: Adults and geriatric patients
• Typical Patient Ratio: 1:5
• Weekend Coverage: Required as needed
• Orientation: 12 hours

Med-Surg Telemetry RN Job Requirements

• Active California Registered Nurse (RN) license in hand at the time of application
• At least 1 year of recent medical-surgical telemetry nursing experience
• Previous travel nursing experience; first-time travelers are not eligible for this assignment
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
• Recent experience caring for adult and geriatric patients in a medical-surgical or telemetry setting
• Epic electronic health record experience documented in professional work history
• Ability to float to other appropriate units when needed
• Availability for required weekend coverage as scheduled

Medical-Surgical Telemetry Nursing Responsibilities

• Provide safe, evidence-based nursing care to adult and geriatric medical-surgical telemetry patients
• Assess patient conditions, identify changes in status, and escalate concerns promptly
• Monitor telemetry patients and recognize clinically significant rhythm or condition changes
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with established standards and orders
• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized plans of care
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately in Epic
• Coordinate care with providers, nursing colleagues, ancillary departments, patients, and families
• Manage an expected patient assignment of approximately 1:5 while maintaining quality and compassionate care
• Float to designated units as needed and support weekend coverage requirements
