ICU Travel Nurse Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,130–$2,250
• Start Date: November 30, 2026
• Contract Duration: 13-week travel nursing contract
• Schedule: Three 12-hour night shifts per week
• Shift: 7:00 p.m.–7:30 a.m.
• Hours: 36 hours per week
• Orientation: 12 hours
• Travel Experience: First-time travelers are welcome; local candidates may also be considered

ICU Registered Nurse Job Requirements

• Active California Registered Nurse (RN) license in hand at the time of application
• At least 1 year of recent ICU, CCU, or critical care nursing experience
• Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications
• Recent electronic health record documentation experience; Epic experience is required
• Demonstrated ability to manage dysrhythmias, arterial lines, central lines, cardiac drips, and vasoactive drips
• Experience with BiPAP/CPAP, ventilated patient care, airway suctioning, and isolation precautions
• Two professional supervisor references may be requested during the application process

Critical Care RN Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill adult patients in an ICU/CCU environment
• Continuously assess patients, recognize changes in condition, and initiate appropriate nursing interventions
• Monitor and manage cardiac rhythms, arterial lines, central lines, cardiac medications, and vasoactive infusions
• Deliver care to patients requiring mechanical ventilation, BiPAP/CPAP, and advanced airway support
• Administer medications and treatments safely while maintaining accurate clinical documentation in the electronic health record
• Follow infection prevention, isolation, and personal protective equipment protocols
• Collaborate with providers and the interdisciplinary care team to support safe, high-quality patient outcomes
