Travel RN Job Details

• End Date: March 6, 2027
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, 7:00 PM–7:30 AM
• Hours: 36 hours per week

• Clinical Setting: Adult acute-care medical/surgical telemetry unit

Registered Nurse Job Requirements

• At least 1 year of recent full-time equivalent Registered Nurse experience within the past 3 years
• Recent medical/surgical telemetry or acute-care nursing experience
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program
• Active Registered Nurse license in the state where care is provided
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
• Basic arrhythmia recognition and cardiac-monitoring skills
• BSN or degree in a related field preferred

Medical/Surgical Telemetry RN Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate nursing care to adult medical/surgical telemetry patients
• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and monitor patients for changes in cardiac and clinical status
• Recognize and respond appropriately to arrhythmias and other urgent patient-care needs
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with clinical standards and provider orders
• Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary care team to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Document assessments, interventions, patient responses, and care-plan updates accurately in the electronic health record
• Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, medications, and discharge instructions
