• Schedule Flexibility: Rotating mornings, evenings, nights, and weekends may be required

Food Services Worker Job Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• At least 6 months of related food service experience; 1 year or more is preferred
• Food and nutrition services certification or applicable training, as required
• Ability to follow food safety, sanitation, infection prevention, and workplace safety procedures
• Ability to work effectively in a hospital environment and interact respectfully with patients, visitors, and colleagues
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and perform routine food service tasks throughout an 8-hour shift
• Flexibility to work rotating schedules, including weekends and varying shift times

Hospital Dietary and Food Service Responsibilities

• Prepare, portion, assemble, and deliver meals and beverages according to established dietary and sanitation standards
• Support trayline operations and ensure meal trays are accurate, timely, and presented appropriately
• Assist with dishwashing, cleaning, stocking, and maintaining organized food service areas
• Serve as a patient meal host or assist with patient-facing food service duties when assigned
• Verify meal selections and follow special dietary instructions as directed
• Maintain clean equipment, workspaces, and food preparation areas throughout the shift
• Follow hospital policies related to food handling, sanitation, safety, and patient service
• Work collaboratively with dietary and healthcare team members to support high-quality service
