MRI Technologist Travel Job Details

• Schedule: Thursday, Friday, and Saturday
• Shift: 12-hour overnight shifts, 7:00 PM–7:30 AM

MRI Technologist Job Requirements

• At least 1 year of recent experience as an MRI Technologist or MRI Tech in a hospital, outpatient, or clinical imaging setting
• Current MRI Technologist certification or professional credential appropriate for practice
• Ability to complete license and certification verification
• Strong understanding of MRI safety protocols, patient screening procedures, contraindications, and patient protection standards
• Successful completion of required facility onboarding, skills assessment, and background screening
• Excellent communication skills and a patient-centered approach to diagnostic imaging care

MRI Technologist Responsibilities

• Perform MRI examinations according to established imaging protocols and patient-specific clinical indications
• Screen patients for MRI safety risks, contraindications, implants, and relevant medical history
• Explain MRI procedures clearly, prepare patients for imaging, and promote comfort throughout examinations
• Operate MRI equipment safely and efficiently while maintaining diagnostic image quality standards
• Review MRI images for technical quality and obtain additional sequences when clinically appropriate
• Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, providers, and other members of the hospital imaging team
• Document MRI procedures accurately and follow department policies for safety, infection prevention, and quality assurance
