Travel Nursing Job Details

Interventional Radiology RN Job Requirements

• Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in Indiana or eligibility to practice in Indiana
• At least 1 year of professional nursing experience, preferably in Interventional Radiology, procedural nursing, critical care, emergency care, or a related specialty
• Experience caring for patients before, during, and after invasive diagnostic or therapeutic procedures
• Strong patient assessment, communication, organization, and clinical judgment skills
• Ability to work scheduled day shifts and participate in the required call rotation
• Current clinical credentials and completion of required onboarding and competency validation

Interventional Radiology Nurse Responsibilities

• Assess and prepare patients for interventional radiology procedures, including reviewing clinical history, allergies, medications, and procedure readiness
• Provide safe, compassionate nursing care throughout pre-procedure, intra-procedure, and recovery phases
• Monitor patients during procedures and recovery, recognizing changes in condition and responding promptly to complications
• Administer medications and procedural support therapies in accordance with orders, policies, and scope of practice
• Maintain a safe, organized procedural environment while supporting infection prevention and sterile technique
• Collaborate with radiologists, providers, technologists, and multidisciplinary team members to coordinate patient care
• Educate patients and families about procedures, recovery expectations, and follow-up instructions
• Accurately document assessments, interventions, patient responses, and discharge information
• Participate in scheduled night and weekend call coverage as assigned
