• Shift: 10-hour day shifts, approximately 7:00 a.m.–5:30 p.m.
• Call Requirement: Approximately 2–4 days of call per month
• Holiday Requirement: One holiday assignment may be required during the contract
• Work Setting: Operating room and surgical services

OR Surgical Technologist Requirements

• At least 1 year of recent operating room, surgical technology, or perioperative experience
• Current Surgical Technologist certification or equivalent credential
• Strong knowledge of sterile technique, surgical instrumentation, and perioperative procedures
• Ability to work 10-hour day shifts and participate in scheduled call and holiday coverage
• Strong communication, teamwork, organization, and attention to detail
• Successful completion of required facility orientation, competency validation, and credentialing processes

Travel Surgical Tech Responsibilities

• Prepare operating rooms with the appropriate instruments, supplies, and equipment for scheduled procedures
• Maintain a sterile field and follow established infection prevention and surgical safety protocols
• Pass instruments and supplies to the surgical team during procedures
• Anticipate the needs of surgeons and other members of the perioperative team
• Perform accurate counts of instruments, sponges, needles, and other surgical items
• Assist with room turnover, equipment readiness, specimen handling, and postoperative room cleanup
• Collaborate with the surgical team to promote efficient workflow and high-quality patient care
