Med/Surg Tele Registered Nurse (RN) Travel Contract – Cleveland, Ohio

Join a collaborative inpatient nursing team as a Med/Surg Tele Registered Nurse in Cleveland, Ohio. Travel Nurse Job Details

• Assignment Type: 13-week travel nursing contract
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,360-$2,480
• Location: Cleveland, Ohio 44195
• Start Date: November 20, 2026
• End Date: February 19, 2027
• Hours: 36 hours per week
• Shifts per Week: 3
• Shift Duration: 12-hour rotating shifts
• Schedule: Rotating days and nights; day shift approximately 7:00 a.m.-7:30 p.m. and night shift approximately 7:00 p.m.-7:30 a.m.
• Orientation: 16 hours
• Holiday Coverage: Travelers are expected to work at least every other holiday

Med/Surg Tele RN Job Requirements

• At least 1 year of recent permanent experience in Med/Surg Tele nursing
• Active Registered Nurse license in Ohio or an active compact-state license in hand
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications from an accepted provider
• Recent professional reference from a manager, assistant nurse manager, supervisor, or director in the specialty
• Ability to complete required compliance, background, and competency documentation before the assignment begins
• Successful completion of ECG rhythm recognition and medication-safety assessments during orientation
• Flexibility to rotate between day and night shifts and support comparable units caring for the same patient population when needed

Med/Surg Tele Registered Nurse Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to adult medical-surgical and telemetry patients
• Perform assessments, monitor telemetry and vital signs, recognize changes in patient condition, and escalate concerns appropriately
• Administer medications and treatments safely in accordance with established standards and care plans
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, therapists, and other members of the care team
• Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatments, medications, and discharge instructions
• Accurately document assessments, interventions, and patient responses in the electronic health record
• Promote patient safety, infection prevention, and quality outcomes throughout the assignment
• Provide flexible coverage in comparable medical-surgical, telemetry, or emergency care areas as operational needs require
