Travel Nursing Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,930–$2,030
• Assignment Type: 13-week travel nursing contract
• Start Date: November 30, 2026
• End Date: February 28, 2027
• Healthcare Setting: On-site hospital medical-surgical telemetry unit
• Schedule: 36 hours per week
• Shift: 12-hour night shifts, 7:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m.
• Weekend and Holiday Coverage: Every other weekend and every other holiday

Registered Nurse Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license eligible for practice in Iowa
• At least 1 year of recent medical-surgical nursing experience
• Experience caring for patients in a telemetry, acute-care, or hospital nursing environment preferred
• Current medical-surgical nursing competencies and strong patient assessment skills
• Ability to work 12-hour night shifts and participate in every-other-weekend and every-other-holiday scheduling
• Successful completion of required credential verification and facility onboarding requirements

Medical-Surgical Telemetry RN Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult medical-surgical and telemetry patients throughout the shift
• Complete patient assessments, identify changes in condition, and promptly communicate concerns to the interdisciplinary care team
• Administer medications and treatments safely in accordance with provider orders, hospital policies, and clinical standards
• Monitor telemetry and other relevant clinical data, recognizing and escalating abnormalities as appropriate
• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized plans of care for medical-surgical patients
• Document assessments, interventions, patient responses, and care coordination accurately and in a timely manner
• Collaborate with providers, therapists, nursing colleagues, patients, and families to support positive outcomes
• Promote patient safety, education, comfort, discharge readiness, and continuity of care
