ICU Travel Nurse Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,050–$2,160

• Assignment Dates: November 23, 2026 through February 20, 2027
• Schedule: Three 12-hour day shifts per week, 7:00 a.m.–7:00 p.m.
• Shift Duration: 12-hour days
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Additional Scheduling: 36- or 48-hour contract options may be available; weekends and holidays may be required. Block scheduling may be considered based on operational needs.
• Work Setting: On-site, hospital-based ICU in Rockford, Illinois

ICU Registered Nurse Job Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license eligible for practice in Illinois
• At least 1 year of recent critical care or ICU nursing experience
• Demonstrated experience caring for CCU patients; this experience should be clearly reflected on your resume
• Experience in a mid- to large-sized hospital preferred
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
• Ability to commit to the full 13-week travel nursing assignment
• Travel eligibility generally requires a permanent residence more than 50 miles from the assignment location

ICU RN Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to critically ill adult patients in the ICU and CCU setting
• Monitor patient status, recognize changes in condition, and initiate timely interventions
• Administer medications and treatments safely in accordance with established protocols
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, respiratory therapists, and the multidisciplinary care team
• Manage complex patient needs, including hemodynamic monitoring and critical care interventions within scope of practice
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately and promptly
• Educate patients and families while supporting continuity of care and safe transitions
