Case Manager RN in Carmichael, California

Job Description:

Join a 13-week travel assignment as a Registered Nurse focused on emergency department care coordination. You will manage utilization review and discharge planning across the hospital, complete initial assessments, apply InterQual criteria, coordinate with multiple payers, and support patients who are uninsured or experiencing homelessness. The role includes approximately 15–20 patient consultations per day, documentation in Cerner, and collaboration with hospitalists, intensivists, respiratory therapy, and interdisciplinary teams. Recent California RN care coordination experience within a Dignity or CommonSpirit setting is required. Weekend coverage is typically every other weekend based on staffing, with at least one full weekend per month.
