Travel Nursing Job Details

• Schedule: 3 shifts per week, 36 hours per week

LTAC Registered Nurse Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license eligible for practice in Ohio
• At least 1 year of professional bedside nursing experience required; 2 years of bedside clinical experience highly preferred
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required before the first shift
• Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required before the first shift
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, organization, and teamwork skills
• Ability to provide high-quality care for medically complex patients in a long-term acute care or comparable healthcare setting

Travel RN Responsibilities

• Complete comprehensive nursing assessments within established timeframes and develop individualized plans of care
• Deliver, evaluate, and document patient care using the nursing process
• Monitor patient conditions, identify changes in status, and communicate pertinent information promptly to providers and the interdisciplinary team
• Support patient rehabilitation goals and provide education to patients, families, and caregivers
• Initiate discharge planning at admission and provide teaching to support safe transitions of care
• Coordinate and prioritize nursing care while maintaining patient and workplace safety
• Delegate appropriately and provide direction, training, and supervision to nursing support staff
• Maintain accurate, timely medical records and participate in interdisciplinary conferences
• Promote a positive, respectful, and collaborative environment for patients, families, and colleagues
• Assume charge responsibilities after orientation when requested and participate in ongoing professional development
