MRI Technologist Travel Contract Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,260–$2,430

• Healthcare Setting: Hospital MRI and diagnostic imaging department

• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Schedule: 4 shifts per week, 10 hours per shift
• Shift: Midday shift, 11:00 a.m. to 9:30 p.m.; Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday

MRI Technologist Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience as an MRI Technologist or MRI Tech, preferably in a hospital or high-volume diagnostic imaging environment
• Current MRI Technologist certification or recognized MRI credential
• Required professional license or certification verification completed before onboarding
• Strong knowledge of MRI safety practices, patient screening procedures, and contraindications
• Ability to operate MRI equipment, follow imaging protocols, and produce high-quality diagnostic images
• Strong communication, organization, and patient-care skills
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with radiologists, nurses, and other imaging professionals

MRI Technologist Responsibilities

• Perform MRI examinations in accordance with departmental protocols and physician orders
• Screen patients for MRI safety, review relevant medical history, and explain procedures clearly
• Position and monitor patients throughout examinations while promoting comfort and safety
• Prepare and operate MRI equipment and verify image quality
• Recognize and respond appropriately to patient needs or procedure-related concerns
• Maintain accurate documentation and follow applicable safety, quality, and infection-control standards
• Collaborate with the imaging team to support efficient patient flow and timely completion of MRI exams
