Travel Registered Nurse Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license; West Virginia licensure or eligibility is required
• At least 1 year of recent CVOR or cardiovascular surgical nursing experience
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
• Strong knowledge of perioperative nursing practices, cardiovascular procedures, and patient safety standards
• Ability to work effectively with surgeons, anesthesia providers, nurses, and the broader surgical team

CVOR Registered Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide specialized nursing care for patients undergoing cardiovascular and thoracic surgical procedures
• Prepare the operating room, equipment, supplies, and surgical team for scheduled procedures
• Assist with intraoperative patient care while maintaining strict aseptic technique
• Monitor patient status and support safe transitions throughout the perioperative process
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia personnel, perfusion staff, and multidisciplinary care teams
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and follow established surgical policies and safety protocols
• Promote a calm, organized, and patient-centered environment during complex procedures
