• Shift Hours: 7:00 p.m. – 7:00 a.m.

Telemetry Travel Nurse Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Jersey or a qualifying compact license in hand at the time of submission
• At least 1 year of recent Registered Nurse experience in telemetry, medical-surgical, or MS/tele nursing
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Demonstrated ability to interpret and manage cardiac dysrhythmias
• Experience with isolation precautions and personal protective equipment
• Proficiency with peripheral line care and management, nasal cannula therapy, and non-invasive airway management
• Epic electronic medical record charting experience preferred
• Ability to work night shifts, weekends, and floating assignments as required

Telemetry Registered Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in a medical-surgical telemetry setting
• Continuously monitor cardiac rhythms, identify changes in patient condition, and initiate appropriate nursing interventions
• Manage and document care for an assignment of up to six patients
• Administer medications and treatments safely while following established clinical standards
• Apply isolation precautions and infection prevention practices
• Perform peripheral line care, oxygen delivery via nasal cannula, and non-invasive airway support as indicated
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory services, pharmacy, physical therapy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, and other interdisciplinary care team members
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record
• Participate in weekend coverage and float to support unit operations and patient care needs
