Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist (Cath Lab Tech) – Travel Contract in Johnson City, NY

We are seeking an experienced Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist for a 13-week travel healthcare contract in Johnson City, New York. Join a high-acuity interventional cardiology team and provide technical and clinical support during diagnostic and therapeutic cardiac catheterization procedures.

Travel Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $3,280–$3,520
• Location: Johnson City, NY
• Healthcare Setting: Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory
• Start Date: September 7, 2026
• End Date: December 5, 2026
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Schedule: Day shift, 40 hours per week
• Shift Duration: 8-hour shifts
• Call Requirements: One night per week and one weekend per month

Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist Job Requirements

• Significant Cardiac Cath Lab experience, including experience supporting complex cardiovascular procedures
• Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist certification or equivalent cardiovascular technology specialty credentials
• Ability to independently participate in STEMI call coverage
• Demonstrated knowledge of sterile and non-sterile procedural techniques
• Working knowledge of radiation safety standards and advanced cardiac imaging equipment
• Strong communication, clinical judgment, and teamwork skills
• Ability to meet the physical and procedural demands of a hospital-based Cardiac Cath Lab

Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist Responsibilities

• Provide technical support and clinical assistance during diagnostic and therapeutic Cardiac Cath Lab procedures.
• Assist with cardiac catheterizations, angioplasty, structural heart procedures, peripheral angiography and angioplasty, temporary pacemaker insertion, and ventricular assist device procedures.
• Support interventional cardiology procedures in both sterile and non-sterile roles under the direction of the physician.
• Operate advanced cardiac imaging equipment according to established guidelines and imaging protocols.
• Maintain patient, staff, and procedural safety while adhering to radiation protection practices.
• Participate in STEMI call coverage, including assigned nighttime and weekend call responsibilities.
• Perform equipment quality assurance checks and report issues appropriately.
• Help maintain and organize supply inventory for Cardiac Cath Lab procedures.
• Maintain accurate documentation and demonstrate awareness of procedural coding requirements.
• Assist with student and resident instruction or preceptor responsibilities when needed.
• Stay current with evolving interventional cardiology techniques, equipment, and technology.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
