- At least 1 year of experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist
- Current Nuclear Medicine Technologist certification or credential appropriate for practice
- Working knowledge of nuclear medicine imaging procedures, radiopharmaceutical handling, and radiation safety practices
- Ability to provide attentive, compassionate patient care while maintaining safety and comfort
- Strong technical, organizational, and communication skills
Nuclear Medicine Technologist Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for nuclear medicine examinations and explain procedures as appropriate
- Prepare radiopharmaceuticals in accordance with established safety and handling protocols
- Monitor patients’ physical condition throughout procedures and promptly report concerns
- Monitor nuclear medicine equipment operation and complete appropriate scanning setup
- Perform diagnostic imaging examinations accurately while maintaining patient privacy, safety, and comfort
- Support efficient workflow within the radiology and nuclear medicine department
