• Night shifts -- 7 pm - 7 am, 12-hour shifts, 7 days on / 7 days off
• 8 - 10 inpatients per shift with approx 3 admissions per 24-hour period
• Inpatient hospital setting -- ICU and stepdown rounding
• In-house call -- 1:3 ratio with 20-minute response time
• High acuity patients -- cardiac, thoracic, and vascular surgical cases
• EVH using Hemapro 2, open vein harvest, fem-pop, and first assist
