Janitor / Office Building Cleaner

Location: Gulfport, MS     Pay: $18.00 per hour Job Type: Full-Time     Shift: Day Shift  -- Monday-Thursday

Job Summary

We are seeking a hardworking and detail-oriented Janitor / Office Building Cleaner to maintain a clean, sanitary, and professional office environment. Responsibilities include cleaning floors, restrooms, windows, common areas, and workspaces, as well as collecting trash and performing routine janitorial duties. The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, pays attention to detail, and can work efficiently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and maintain floors throughout the office building.
• Clean, sanitize, and restock restrooms, including toilets, sinks, mirrors, and fixtures.
• Clean interior windows, glass doors, and other glass surfaces.
• Empty trash cans, replace liners, and properly dispose of waste.
• Dust and wipe down desks, countertops, furniture, and other surfaces.
• Clean and maintain hallways, breakrooms, entrances, and common areas.
• Maintain cleaning supplies and equipment in an organized manner.
• Identify and report maintenance concerns or safety hazards.
• Follow proper cleaning procedures and safety guidelines when handling cleaning chemicals and equipment.
• Perform additional janitorial and general cleaning duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Previous janitorial, custodial, commercial cleaning, or housekeeping experience preferred.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform repetitive cleaning tasks for extended periods.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain high cleanliness standards.
• Ability to work independently and complete assigned tasks efficiently.
• Must be punctual, reliable, and maintain consistent attendance.
• Must be available to work day shifts, including weekends.
• Ability to safely use cleaning products, supplies, and janitorial equipment.
• Willingness to follow instructions and workplace safety procedures.

Compensation and Schedule
