Nextaff is hiring an experienced Medical Assistant to join our client's team in St Petersburg, FL. As a Medical Assistant you will be responsible for a variety of clinical and administrative tasks including assisting in examinations under the direction of a physician. Duties include rooming patients, documenting medical histories, measuring vital signs, administering injections, preparing & maintaining treatment rooms, entering patient data into the EMR system and assisting in front desk coverage. This is a full-time contract-to-hire position with a Monday-Friday 8 AM-5 PM schedule, which allows you the opportunity to earn a permanent position with our client.

• $20-$23 per hour, based on your experience as a Medical Assistant
• Weekly pay every Friday while on assignment and eligibility to apply for health insurance on the 1st day of employment with Nextaff

What We Need From You...

• At least 1 year of current experience as a Medical Assistant in a primary care office with experience in a managed care environment
• You've roomed patients, taken vital signs, and have an understanding of medical office procedures and terminology
• You have experience documenting an EHR systems (eClinicalWorks preferred)
• High School diploma or equivalent and background check/drug screening required
