Registered Nurse (RN) – Residential Treatment Center
Location: Johnston, IA
Schedule: 12-Hour Shifts (Day & Night Shifts Available)
Pay: $45–$48/hour  Nextaff is seeking compassionate and skilled Registered Nurses (RNs) to join a dedicated healthcare team at a residential treatment center in Johnston, Iowa. This is an excellent opportunity for nurses who are passionate about providing patient-centered care in a structured, collaborative environment while making a meaningful impact on individuals working toward improved health and wellness. Position Summary As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality nursing care, administering medications and treatments, monitoring patient progress, and collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to ensure the safety and well-being of residents. The ideal candidate is adaptable, compassionate, and committed to providing exceptional care in a residential healthcare setting.Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and develop individualized care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and facility policies.
• Monitor patient conditions and respond appropriately to changes in health status.
• Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical documentation.
• Collaborate with physicians, behavioral health professionals, therapists, and other healthcare staff.
• Educate patients and families regarding medications, treatment plans, and wellness strategies.
• Ensure compliance with all state, federal, and facility regulations.
• Promote a safe, therapeutic, and respectful environment for all residents.

Qualifications

• Active Iowa Registered Nurse (RN) license or compact RN license eligible to practice in Iowa.
• Current BLS certification (ACLS preferred, if applicable).
• Previous nursing experience preferred; experience in residential care, behavioral health, mental health, substance use treatment, or long-term care is a plus.
• Strong assessment, communication, and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a multidisciplinary team.

Schedule & Compensation

• 12-hour shifts
• Day and night shift opportunities available
• Competitive pay: $45–$48 per hour
• Weekly pay through Nextaff
• Potential for contract extensions and additional opportunities
