Board-certified General Cardiology physician needed for a locum tenens opportunity in Mankato, Minnesota. • Weekly Estimated Pay: $6,840 - $8,110
• Location: Mankato, Minnesota

• Duration: 52 weeks
• Schedule: 5 shifts per week
• Shift Duration: 8-hour days
• Hours Per Week: 40
• Shift Details: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
• On-Call: Required; weeknight evening call 5:00 PM - 8:00 AM and weekend call Friday 5:00 PM - Monday 8:00 AM
• Call Ratio: 1:6
• Patient Population: Adult and Geriatric
• Care Setting: Inpatient, outpatient, hospital, and clinic
• Documentation System: EPIC with dictation and voice recognition

Job Requirements

• Board Certification in General Cardiology required
• Echo boards required
• Fellowship training in Cardiovascular Diseases required
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• At least 1 year of general cardiology experience preferred
• Active state license preferred
• Ability to provide both inpatient and outpatient cardiology care
• Comfort with call coverage and procedural responsibilities

Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient cardiology rounding and consultations
• See patients in the outpatient cardiology clinic
• Perform cardioversion and transesophageal echocardiography (TEE) procedures
• Interpret adult transthoracic echocardiograms and stress echocardiograms
• Participate in weeknight and weekend on-call coverage
• Manage an average inpatient consult volume of 12-16 patients per day and clinic volume of 12-14 patients per day
• Collaborate with RN, NP/PA, APP, and physician team members to deliver high-quality cardiovascular care
• Document patient care accurately using EPIC, dictation, and voice recognition tools
