Full-Time | Permanent | Weekday Schedule | Competitive Pay + Benefits
Ready to take your respiratory therapy career beyond the hospital bedside?
We're hiring a Respiratory Therapist (RRT) to join a growing, well-established healthcare organization providing personalized respiratory care throughout Central New York!
If you're looking for more autonomy, a consistent weekday schedule, and meaningful one-on-one patient relationships, this opportunity offers a refreshing alternative to traditional hospital-based respiratory care.
You'll use your clinical expertise to help patients breathe easier, manage their respiratory conditions, and remain independent at home.
About the Opportunity
This full-time position combines office-based clinical responsibilities with local, scheduled home visits, offering a dynamic mix of hands-on patient care, respiratory education, and equipment support.
Rather than managing high patient volumes in an acute-care setting, you'll have the opportunity to develop lasting relationships while providing individualized respiratory care.
Key Responsibilities:
-
Provide one-on-one respiratory care, patient assessments, and education
-
Educate patients and caregivers on oxygen therapy, CPAP/BiPAP, and other respiratory equipment
-
Conduct scheduled home visits and in-office patient appointments
-
Assist with respiratory equipment setup, troubleshooting, and ongoing support
-
Collaborate with patients, caregivers, and healthcare professionals to promote continuity of care
-
Help patients confidently manage their respiratory needs outside the hospital
Why You'll Love This Opportunity
-
Work-Life Balance: Consistent weekday schedule with greater predictability
-
Competitive Compensation: Strong hourly pay with a comprehensive benefits package
-
Variety & Autonomy: Enjoy a blend of office-based care and local patient visits
-
Meaningful Patient Relationships: Deliver personalized, one-on-one care without the demands of a traditional hospital assignment
-
Professional Development: Training provided on respiratory equipment and technology
-
Mileage Reimbursement: Reimbursement for eligible work-related travel
-
Comprehensive Benefits: Medical benefits, paid time off, and additional employee perks
-
Long-Term Stability: Permanent opportunity with an established, growing healthcare organization
Qualifications
-
Active New York State Respiratory Therapist license
-
Respiratory therapy experience in a clinical, hospital, home health, or related setting
-
Valid driver's license and reliable personal vehicle
-
Strong patient education, communication, and clinical problem-solving skills
-
Ability to work independently while collaborating with a supportive clinical team
-
Compassionate, patient-focused approach to respiratory care
Experience with home respiratory equipment, oxygen therapy, CPAP/BiPAP, or durable medical equipment (DME) is a plus!
