• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Shifts per Week: 2
• Shift Duration: 12-hour day shifts
• Initial November Dates: November 2, 14, and 17, from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
• Clinic Hours: Monday through Saturday, 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.; Sunday, 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $3,260–$3,870
• Patient Volume: Approximately 30–50 patients per day, with increased volume during cold and flu season

FNP and Physician Assistant Job Requirements

• Current Family Nurse Practitioner certification or Physician Assistant certification
• Active North Carolina license to practice as a Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
• At least 1 year of clinical experience; urgent care, emergency medicine, or primary care experience is strongly preferred
• Active DEA registration
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• Strong clinical judgment and the ability to practice independently with remote physician supervision
• Excellent communication, teamwork, documentation, and patient service skills
• DOT certification is a plus

Urgent Care Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients presenting with urgent and acute medical concerns
• Provide independent patient care as the on-site Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
• Perform common urgent care procedures, including laceration repair, abscess drainage, splinting, and wound care
• Order, review, and interpret laboratory and diagnostic studies
• Prescribe appropriate medications and provide clear treatment instructions and patient education
• Recognize conditions requiring escalation and coordinate referrals or higher levels of care when appropriate
• Accurately document patient encounters in the electronic medical record
• Collaborate with clinic staff and a remote supervising physician to support safe, efficient patient care
