Travel Mammography Technologist Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,870–$2,010

• Schedule: 8-hour day shifts, Monday through Friday, approximately 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
• Hours: 40 hours per week; 5 shifts per week
• Healthcare Setting: Outpatient breast care and diagnostic imaging
• Holiday Requirement: Work two of the following major holidays—Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, or New Year’s Day—and one minor holiday, such as the Friday after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, or New Year’s Eve.

Mammography Technologist Job Requirements

• At least 2 years of recent experience in mammography or breast imaging
• Current Mammography Technologist certification
• ARRT certification
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Experience with Cerner and outpatient imaging workflows preferred
• Ability to provide compassionate, patient-centered care in a fast-paced breast imaging environment

Breast Imaging Technologist Responsibilities

• Perform screening and diagnostic mammography examinations according to established protocols
• Support breast biopsy procedures and related breast imaging services
• Perform or assist with breast ultrasound and bone density examinations as needed
• Prepare patients for procedures, explain examinations clearly, and promote comfort and cooperation
• Obtain high-quality diagnostic images while following radiation safety and quality assurance standards
• Document procedures and patient information accurately in Cerner
• Collaborate with radiologists and the imaging team to support timely, high-quality patient care
