Travel Cardiac Sonographer Job Details

• Location: Lawrenceville, Georgia 30046
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,790–$1,920
• Assignment Type: Travel healthcare contract
• Start Date: November 2, 2026
• End Date: January 30, 2027
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Schedule: Four 10-hour day shifts per week
• Hours: 40 guaranteed hours per week
• Shift: Approximately 8:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.; schedule may vary
• Setting: Hospital diagnostic cardiology department
• Holiday Commitment: Work two of the three major holidays—Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, or New Year’s Day—and one minor holiday, such as Christmas Eve, New Year’s Eve, or the Friday after Thanksgiving.

Cardiac Sonographer and Echo Technologist Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of recent experience as a Cardiac Sonographer, Echocardiography Technologist, or Echo Technologist
• Current AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Current cardiac or echocardiography credential, such as RDCS through ARDMS; RCS or RCCS through CCI; CRCS through Sonography Canada; or ACS through CCI
• Ability to work on-site and complete the required travel assignment schedule
• Strong communication, patient-care, and clinical documentation skills

Cardiac Sonographer Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic cardiac ultrasound examinations according to department protocols
• Obtain high-quality two-dimensional, Doppler, and related echocardiographic images
• Prepare patients for examinations, explain procedures, and promote comfort and safety throughout each study
• Recognize technically significant findings and communicate relevant observations to the appropriate clinical team
• Document examinations accurately and maintain complete patient records
• Collaborate with cardiologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to support timely patient care
• Maintain imaging equipment, follow infection-control practices, and comply with applicable clinical and safety standards
