- 24-hour cardiac and thoracic call coverage -- 5 days per month
- Coverage focused over long weekends and holidays
- CABG, valve repair/replacement, complex cardiac, and redo sternotomy
- Acute type A dissection, ECMO, IABP, lobectomy, and VATS required
- Chest trauma, inpatient rounds, consultations, and overnight emergencies
- Emergency surgical rescue for TAVR required
- Lead-extraction backup and catheterization-related injury management
