- Beeper call -- 30-minute response time, each day
- Avg. 5 patients per shift; 4 phone consults and 3 admissions per day
- Inpatient and outpatient rounding required
- Adult population -- pediatric and neonatal not required
- Laparoscopic surgery required -- appendectomy, cholecystectomy, hernioplasty
- Trauma surgery, chest tube, central line, and PA catheter skills required
- Ventilation management and sigmoidoscopy required
- Paid malpractice insurance; pre-paid travel and housing expenses
