Travel Surgical Technologist Job Details

• Location: Canton, Georgia
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,170–$1,260
• Assignment: 13-week travel assignment
• Start Date: November 2, 2026
• End Date: January 30, 2027
• Schedule: Three 12-hour day shifts per week, approximately 6:30 a.m.–7:00 p.m.; schedule varies
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Additional Coverage: On-call requirements may apply
• Holiday Availability: Must be available to work two major holidays and one minor holiday during the assignment

Operating Room Surgical Technologist Requirements

• At least 2 years of recent Operating Room Surgical Technologist or travel Surgical Technologist experience
• Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Surgical technologist certification preferred, such as NBSTSA or NCCT
• Strong knowledge of sterile technique, surgical instrumentation, and operating room procedures
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts, participate in on-call coverage, and adapt to changing surgical schedules

Operating Room Surgical Technologist Responsibilities

• Prepare operating rooms, surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies for scheduled procedures
• Maintain sterile technique throughout surgical cases and respond promptly to the needs of the surgical team
• Pass instruments, supplies, and equipment to surgeons and assistants during procedures
• Anticipate procedural needs and help ensure efficient operating room workflow
• Perform surgical counts and support accurate documentation in accordance with department standards
• Assist with room turnover, equipment checks, specimen handling, and post-procedure cleanup
• Collaborate with surgeons, nurses, anesthesia professionals, and other perioperative staff to promote safe, high-quality patient care
