• Type of staff:
o Day Shift - 1 charge RN, 2-3 RNs, 1 LPN, 1-2 PCTs, 1 unit secretary
o Night Shift - 1 charge RN, 2-3 RNs, 1 LPN, 1-2 PCTs
• Patient Ratios - 6:1, Goal is for charge nurse to be out of staffing to assist.
• Type of equipment - Baxter IV pumps, Wound vacs, SCDS, prima-fits, primo-fits
• EMR - Cerner Powerchart

Skill Set Most recruited for:

Must have : candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role.
• Medical/surgical nursing experience
• Telemetry
Preferred or nice to have : candidates with these skills will be considered first.
• Charge nurse experience

• Peripheral IV starts
• Dressing changes
• Other standard medical surgical skills

REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS:
• BLS
Floating Area(s):
• Other medical surgical units, ED holding medical/surgical patients.

Dress Code :
• Scrub Color/Attire - all navy, all white, or white top and navy pants, navy or white undershirts if needed.

Unit Guidelines/Policies :
• Travelers float before permanent staff.

Weekends and On call (if any)
• Weekends: every other weekend or 6 weekend shifts per 6 week schedule.
