Unit Specifics:

• Number of Beds : 35

• Patient Ratios :5-7:1

• Unit staffing description- (unit secretaries and tech availability) : Techs per census, usually 2-4

• Type of equipment : Vitals machine, Baxter IV pumps, SCDs, Bladder scanner

• Documentation system: Meditech

• Scheduling requirements: 12 hr shifts, every other weekend

• Floating policy: may be floated to other Med Surg depts.

• Patient Experience requirements: Rehab experience preferred

Hiring Profile

Must have:

• Rehab experience

• BLS and VA License

Preferred:

• Med Surg

Advanced skills needed: none

Procedures performed on unit: Med administration to include IVs, PICC, PEG tube admin; Bladder scans, Trach care, Tube feeding, Foley cath, Bladder irrigation, Blood Administration

Dress Code:

• Navy blue or white solid scrubs
