Travel Respiratory Therapist Job Details

• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,630–$1,750
• Location: Cleveland, Ohio
• Healthcare Setting: Hospital respiratory care department
• Start Date: November 16, 2026
• End Date: February 15, 2027
• Contract Duration: 13-week travel respiratory therapy contract
• Schedule: 3 shifts per week, 36 hours per week
• Shift: 12-hour nights, approximately 6:30 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.
• Weekends: As needed
• Additional Scheduling: May float to nearby hospitals or respiratory care locations in the Cleveland area as needed

Registered Respiratory Therapist Job Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist
• Current Ohio Registered Respiratory Therapist license, active and in hand at the time of submission
• Active NBRC credential, in hand at the time of submission
• Current Basic Life Support certification, active and in hand at the time of submission
• Ability to work overnight shifts, weekends as needed, and float within the Cleveland-area healthcare network
• All required certifications and professional credentials must be active; copies may be requested during the application process
• Completion of required background, health, drug screening, and onboarding requirements

Respiratory Therapist Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate respiratory care to hospitalized patients
• Perform respiratory assessments, treatments, therapies, and monitoring according to clinical standards
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other members of the interdisciplinary care team
• Recognize changes in patient condition and communicate findings promptly
• Accurately document respiratory care, patient responses, and treatment outcomes
• Support hospital respiratory care department operations by floating to assigned locations when needed
• Follow hospital policies, infection-prevention practices, and all applicable respiratory care regulations
