Radiologic Technologist Job Requirements

• At least 1 year of recent Radiologic Technologist, X-Ray Technologist, or radiology experience; travel candidates should have at least 18 months of permanent experience in the specialty before beginning a travel assignment
• Active ARRT(R) certification in hand
• Active Ohio radiologic technologist license in hand before the start date
• AHA BLS certification in hand
• Ability to work independently during overnight weekend shifts while collaborating effectively with the imaging and clinical care teams
• Current required health screenings and immunizations, subject to applicable medical or religious exemptions

Radiologic Technologist Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality general radiographic examinations for patients in the emergency department, intensive care unit, and inpatient nursing floors
• Prepare patients, explain X-ray procedures, and promote comfort, safety, and proper positioning throughout examinations
• Operate radiography equipment safely and follow established radiation protection practices
• Evaluate images for technical quality and obtain additional views when clinically appropriate
• Accurately document radiology examinations and communicate relevant findings or concerns to the appropriate clinical team
• Provide responsive diagnostic imaging support during overnight weekend coverage
• Maintain a professional, patient-centered approach while working with individuals across a wide range of ages and conditions
