Progressive Care Unit Travel Nurse Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license eligible for practice in Florida
• At least 2 years of recent progressive care, PCU, or step-down nursing experience
• Recent oncology nursing experience required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Chemo certification preferred
• Willingness to float to other units or nearby campuses as needed
• Ability to provide required credentials and documentation before the assignment start date
• Degree accreditation documented in the professional profile, or at least 5 years of relevant nursing experience

Oncology and Progressive Care RN Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients recovering from surgical oncology procedures and managing complex medical conditions.
• Assess patient status, recognize changes in condition, and promptly escalate concerns.
• Administer medications and treatments safely while following oncology and progressive care protocols.
• Monitor cardiac, respiratory, neurological, and other clinically significant patient parameters.
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, rehabilitation professionals, and other members of the interdisciplinary care team.
• Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, recovery, medications, and discharge instructions.
• Accurately document assessments, interventions, and outcomes in Epic.
• Float to other appropriate units or affiliated campuses when operational needs require.
