PCU Travel RN Job Details

• Location: Fort Myers, Florida
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,830–$1,920
• Contract Dates: January 8, 2027–April 10, 2027
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Nursing Shift: 12-hour night shifts
• Schedule: 3 shifts per week
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Unit: 36-bed surgical Progressive Care Unit (PCU)
• Patient Ratios: Approximately 4–5 patients per nurse
• Electronic Medical Record: Epic
• Openings: 6 Progressive Care Registered Nurse positions

Progressive Care Travel Nurse Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license eligible for practice in Florida
• At least 2 years of recent Progressive Care Unit (PCU) nursing experience
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Documented degree accreditation, or at least 5 years of acute care nursing experience
• Prior travel nursing experience preferred
• Ability to work collaboratively across surgical progressive care units and float as needed
• Professional attire includes Galaxy Blue or White scrubs

Progressive Care RN Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to acutely ill and post-surgical patients in a progressive care setting
• Perform focused and comprehensive patient assessments, monitor changes in condition, and escalate concerns promptly
• Administer medications and treatments safely while evaluating patient responses
• Manage care for an assigned patient load of approximately 4–5 patients
• Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and the interdisciplinary care team to support positive patient outcomes
• Accurately document patient care and communicate clinical updates using the Epic electronic medical record
• Float between designated progressive care areas and other nearby clinical units when needed
• Support a welcoming, dependable team culture by performing to the same high standards expected of core staff
