Travel Nursing Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,710–$1,800
• Location: Travelers Rest, South Carolina
• Assignment Type: 13-week travel nursing contract
• Start Date: November 2, 2026
• End Date: February 1, 2027
• Schedule: Three or four 12-hour night shifts per week
• Shift: 7:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m.
• Weekend Coverage: Every other weekend, with scheduling subject to unit needs
• Patient Population: Adult and geriatric patients
• Typical Assignment: Approximately 1 nurse to 5 patients
• Daily Census: Approximately 15 patients
• Floating: May be required to qualified units or nearby campuses based on census and staffing needs
• Documentation: Epic electronic medical record (EMR)

Travel RN Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in South Carolina
• At least 1 year of recent Registered Nurse experience
• Recent experience in LTAC Med/Surg Telemetry, Med/Surg, and/or PCU settings
• At least 1 year of Epic experience
• Current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Strong telemetry, dysrhythmia interpretation, medication administration, and clinical assessment skills
• Ability to care for medically complex adult and geriatric patients
• Adaptability to float among qualified units and collaborate with an interdisciplinary care team

Med/Surg Telemetry RN Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in an LTAC Med/Surg Telemetry setting
• Monitor cardiac rhythms, recognize clinical changes, and promptly escalate concerns
• Administer medications and therapies, including anticoagulants, insulin protocols, IV medications, and emergency treatments as indicated
• Manage complex patient needs such as respiratory support, tracheostomy care, enteral feeding, central and peripheral lines, wounds, drains, and urinary catheters
• Perform focused assessments, stroke scale evaluations, blood glucose monitoring, and ongoing reassessments
• Coordinate care with physicians, respiratory therapy, physical therapy, pharmacy, radiology, social services, and other members of the interdisciplinary team
• Accurately document assessments, interventions, and patient responses in Epic
• Promote patient safety, infection prevention, comfort, and continuity of care throughout each shift
