Travel Nursing Job Details

• Contract Duration: 16-week travel nursing assignment
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,620–$2,760
• Shift: Day shifts; schedule may include 8-, 9-, 10-, or 12-hour shifts based on operational needs
• Shift Duration: 8-hour days
• Schedule: Approximately 36 hours per week; flexible scheduling required
• Call: No call requirement
• Weekend Requirement: Saturday coverage is required
• Float Requirement: Float coverage to nearby dialysis locations in St. Albans and Berlin may be required

Travel RN Job Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license eligible to practice in Vermont
• At least 2 years of Registered Nurse experience
• At least 1 year of outpatient nursing experience
• Previous outpatient dialysis nursing experience caring for chronic end-stage renal disease (ESRD) patients
• Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Recent EPIC electronic health record experience within the past 2 years is required
• Prior travel nursing experience preferred
• Reliable personal transportation is strongly recommended due to limited public transportation access
• All-season or snow tires are strongly recommended during the winter months

Outpatient Dialysis RN Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate nursing care to chronic ESRD patients receiving outpatient dialysis
• Monitor patients throughout dialysis treatment, assess responses to therapy, and promptly address changes in condition
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with established orders and clinical standards
• Perform thorough nursing assessments, maintain accurate documentation, and communicate patient needs to the interdisciplinary care team
• Support patient education related to dialysis treatment, care plans, and ongoing kidney disease management
• Collaborate with providers and other members of the dialysis team to promote quality patient outcomes
• Provide coverage at designated nearby dialysis locations as needed
• Maintain compliance with facility policies, safety standards, and infection-prevention practices
