Operating Room Nurse Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license and eligibility to practice in Colorado
• At least 1 year of professional nursing experience, including operating room experience
• Recent experience circulating orthopedic surgical cases
• Strong knowledge of perioperative nursing, surgical safety, infection prevention, and surgical counts
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with surgeons, anesthesia professionals, and the perioperative team
• Willingness to complete an on-site travel nursing assignment in Meeker, Colorado

Operating Room Registered Nurse Responsibilities

• Circulate preoperative orthopedic cases and support safe, efficient surgical workflows
• Complete preoperative nursing assessments and verify patient identity, procedure, surgical site, and consent information
• Coordinate with the surgical team to maintain appropriate supplies, equipment, and operating room readiness
• Monitor patient safety throughout the perioperative process and promptly communicate changes in condition
• Maintain accurate nursing documentation and follow established policies for infection prevention and surgical counts
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary operating room team to deliver compassionate, high-quality patient care
